SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -

It's grand opening was earlier in the week, but the true test of a new hot spot isn't a Wednesday night--it's the weekend.

The Maya Day and Nightclub officially opened Wednesday night and hundreds of people came out. But Saturday, the club showcased it's other side, the experience during the day.

Drinks, dancers and a DJ poolside: Scottsdale's hottest new club is bringing the beach atmosphere to the desert.

The crowds just keep coming through since the doors first opened at Maya Day and Nightclub.

At night, the place transforms into a dance club.

During the day, it's a Vegas-style day club that has everything from bottle service to a taco bar.

"Everybody makes their escape, if you will, to Vegas for that big night club, day club experience and this brings that experience to Scottsdale so people don't have to drive the four hours or spend the couple hundred bucks to get there," said Maya Day and Nightclub General Manager Todd Grobstein.

The pool is surrounded by cabanas, VIP service and day beds.

Already the venue is attracting top DJs and management says the new club couldn't have come at a better time.

"For the last couple of years, we've seen more people come to Scottsdale rather than Cabo or Miami or Las Vegas. Scottsdale really is a full blown experience," said Goldstein.

It's a good time where you can party poolside night or day.

If you want to experience the Maya Day and Nightclub, tickets are $10 at the door.

Sunday night DJ Calvin Harris will be performing, but you need special event tickets for that. Visit Mayaclubaz.com for details.
