Beauty Bandit Caught On Tape Hits Up CVS Stores

Posted: Updated:

A suspected thief caught on tape must have really good skin, or he's making really good money selling the stuff on the street.

On March 24th, a man dressed in sweats, a hat and sunglasses walked casually into the CVS on Cross Keys Road in Gloucester Township. He took one look in the direction of the register and proceeded to his aisle of choice.

Surveillance video captured him as he walked back and forth looking at shelves before he headed to the next aisle over. Cameras catch him then with a white shopping bag in hand. Police said he cleared the shelves of $1,000 dollars worth of Oil Of Olay products before he walked out.

The suspected thief must've thought to himself, that was easy, because five days later he returned.

Surveillance video showed him with his face somewhat hidden. It appears he blocked his face by pretending to be on a cell phone. Once in the aisle, he produced two white shopping bags which police said he tossed $1400 worth of Oil Of Olay products again in the bag. But this time the store manager was on to him and confronted him.

The video showed the two struggle slightly as the manager blocked him from leaving.

Eventually the manager got hold of the bags and the beauty bandit just walked out empty handed and got away.

The man realized store employees were on to him now, so he waited a week and then hit up a different CVS. That one is on North Delsea in Glassboro. Police said he was a fresh face at this store so he was able to get away with $2000 worth of Oil Of Olay products and some Rogaine.

Police said the man got away in a silver 4-door Chrysler 300.
