The NFL Draft is a little more than 24 hours away and the Vikings own the 23rd and 25th selections and although they might not take a cornerback with either of their first two picks, the need to replace Antoine Winfield will need to be addressed at some point during the draft.
Dee Milliner (Alabama) Top corner in the draft, will be gone by the time the Vikings select late in the first round. Likely to the Browns at 6.
Xavier Rhodes (Florida State) Could be there at 23 when the Vikings select their first of two picks. Big and physical, but more of a press corner that loves contact. Not necessarily a fit in the zone scheme, but with Calvin Johnson, Brandon Marshall and Jordy Nelson on the schedule twice per year each, a big physical corner wouldn't be bad.
Desmond Trufant (Washington) If the Vikings are going to take a cornerback, I would love it to be Trufant. Can play the slot or on the outside and has NFL size. With two brothers playing in the NFL.
Blidi Wreh-Wilson (Connecticut) A tall corner who plays the outside well that scouts say has very good closing speed. Will be a second round pick.
B.W. Webb (William & Mary) Smaller frame (5'10) like former Viking Antoine Winfield, and would fit the zone scheme well. Athletic with excellent ball skills according to scouts.
