Former 'Voice' star Chris Mann to perform in Detroit

DETROIT, Mich. (WJBK) -

One of the stars from the NBC series, 'The Voice,' Chris Mann, is touring in support of his debut album 'Roads.' The album hit No. 1 on Billboard's Heatseekers Chart and Top 5 on Billboard's Classical Chart.

When Mann was on 'The Voice,' he blew everyone away with his classical singing style. His team was coached by Christina Aguilera, who told him, "I feel the heavens open up when you sing." Mann became one of the breakout stars and landed two songs in the iTunes Top 10 Pop Singles chart.

Mann's album 'Roads' features an variety of tunes, including Willie Nelson's 'Always on My Mind,' 'Ave Maria,' and Paul Anka's 'My Way,' which was reworked by Anka specifically for Mann.

Mann's performance will take place at the Royal Oak Music Theatre on Wednesday, April 24 at 7 p.m. The Royal Oak Music Theatre is located at 318 W. Fourth Street in Royal Oak.
