Hundreds of runners here in the valley marked the one week anniversary of the marathon bombing by running in honor of all the victims Monday night.
This race kicked off at 16th Street and Glendale in Phoenix and went for 3 miles, and it raised money for a charity benefiting the bombing victims.
One of the runners out there was a valley woman who ran the Boston marathon last week but didn't finish.
"I think the intent of the perpetrators is to incite terror and panic, to demoralize and devastate. I think the best thing we can do to combat that is to combat that, stand together, stand back up and say we are going to keep going," she said.
Runs like this were planned across the country Monday night.
