In the wake of the Boston Marathon bombings, the Minneapolis running community made a special effort to honor lives lost and those who fought for justice in the city.
A news hub for Twin Cities runners, Minneapolis Running organized a memorial run on Monday morning dubbed "Boston Strong" to show their support.
"This is just a small act of solidarity run to honor the victims in the tragedy that happened out in Boston," Nathan of Minneapolis Running said. "As runners, we're such a tight-knit community, it's just one small, simple thing that we could do to honor those that remember what happened out in Boston a week ago."
They may be a small sector, but they're members of a nation of runners who will remember the bombings whenever they lace up their shoes and step up to the starting line.
