MN State Fairgrounds set to host Israel's 65th birthday

ST. PAUL, Minn. (KMSP) -

The Twin Cities Jewish community is set to celebrate Israel's 65th birthday with music, games, stories and Israeli goods at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds.

A crowd of over 2,000 is expected to attend the event at the State Fair-style event on Sunday to help celebrate Israeli Independence Day, Yom Ha'atzmaut, a commemoration of Israel's declaration of independence and establishment in 1948.

Senator Amy Klobuchar will address the crowd with a follow-up performance by Israeli hip-hop group, HaDag Nachash.

The event is put on by the Minneapolis Jewish Federation and the Jewish Federation of Greater St. Paul.
