SPCA Rescues 118 Animals From Bucks County Home

Posted: Updated:

Over 100 animals were rescued from a Bucks County home in what some officials are calling one of the "worst cases" of animal hoarding they have ever seen.

Fox 29's Stephanie Esposito visited the house where 118 animals were found, some living in dark rooms and filthy crates.

The Bucks County SPCA removed snakes, dogs, cats and over 12 dozen chickens from the house.  Authorities say that the couple who owned the residence had been hoarding animals, amongst other items..

The majority of animals were dirty, underweight and thirsty.

Today, the owners relinquished ownership of all but five of the animals seized.

The animals will all get some much needed "TLC", including baths, food and love.  After a few tests are performed, the animals will be up for adoption.

The animal cruelty officers involved in this case say the owners will face some sort of animal cruelty charges.
