ST. PAUL, Minn. (KMSP) -
Despite the snow and slush, an annual rally drew hundreds of same-sex marriage supporters to Minnesota's Capitol on Thursday.
Minnesotans United and OutFront Minnesota hosted Lobby Day to highlight the same-sex marriage bills passed in the House and Senate committees last month.
Gov. Mark Dayton, who supports marriage equality, spoke at the rally. While he said passing the legislation may not be easy, he told the crowd, "You have a Constitutional right, you have an American right, to marry the person you love."
The bills could potentially see full House and Senate votes in the coming weeks, but at this point, the outcome is unclear.
