Philadelphia Police have arrested a student who allegedly brought a gun into the Samuel Fels High School on the 5500 block of Langdon Street.
The incident occurred at approximately 7:30am as students were entering thru the front scanner.
The young man, who is believed to be 19-years old, went through the scanner when police say they discovered a handgun in his book bag.
A struggle ensued when police tried to apprehend the male. He fled on foot and police followed. The suspect was apprehended in the 15th district moments later.
