Cheap Seats: Cheaters Anonymous Edition

I thought Tiger Woods was going to win the Masters by 20 strokes. On Monday, we are still talking about Woods, but not because he won the green jacket because he cheated. Wait, Tiger cheat? Does Lindsay Vonn know? Despite a two stroke penalty for his indiscretion, Woods still finished tied for third at five under. Adam Scott defeated Angel Cabrera in spine tingling fashion on the second playoff hole.

That snap you heard Saturday night was the Lakers playoff chances following Kobe Bryant's torn achilies tendon. The "black mamba" is reportedly done for six to nine months, but the defiant one took to facebook in a 3am morphine or percocet clouded post:

This is such BS! All the training and sacrifice just flew out the window with one step that I've done millions of times! The frustration is unbearable. The anger is rage. Why the hell did this happen ?!? Makes no damn sense. Now I'm supposed to come back from this and be the same player Or better at 35?!? How in the world am I supposed to do that??

I have NO CLUE. Do I have the consistent will to overcome this thing? Maybe I should break out the rocking chair and reminisce on the career that

was. Maybe this is how my book

ends. Maybe Father Time has defeated me...Then again maybe not! It's 3:30am, my foot feels like dead weight, my head is spinning from the pain meds and I'm wide awake. Forgive my Venting but what's the purpose of social media if I won't bring it to you Real No Image?? Feels good to vent, let it out. To feel as if THIS is the WORST thing EVER! Because After ALL the venting, a real perspective sets in. There are far greater issues/challenges in the world then a torn achilles. Stop feeling sorry for yourself, find the silver lining and get to work with the same belief, same drive and same conviction as ever.

One day, the beginning of a new career journey will commence. Today is NOT that day.

"If you see me in a fight with a bear, prey for the bear". Ive always loved that quote. Thats "mamba mentality" we don't quit, we don't cower, we don't run. We endure and conquer.

I know it's a long post but I'm Facebook Venting LOL. Maybe now I can actually get some sleep and be excited for surgery tomorrow. First step of a new challenge.

Guess I will be Coach Vino the rest of this season. I have faith in my teammates. They will come thru.

Thank you for all your prayers and support. Much Love Always.

Mamba Out

And speaking of dwindling playoff hopes. The experts in St. Paul remain relatively calm as the Wild continue their nearing epic collapse. The big talker is that Matt Cullen returns tonight. Well, if our recent slide is due to Culley not being in the lineup, we might as well lock the doors at the X. No question he has had his best season since playing in Carolina when they housed Lord Stanley's hardware, but if you are going to be taken seriously as a franchise, losing a second line guy should not knock you from a sure fire playoff team into the depths it currently sits. I know mathematically it isn't, but tonight's game in Calgary is a MUST WIN!

You know the scene in the movie Groundhog Day when he relives the entire day over and over? That's sort of how the Wolves have felt the entire year. Plagued by injuries in a season they would rather forget, the squad still pulled off their first 30 win campaign since #21 played here. Even though it didn't feel like it, the Wolves took a baby step forward this season. Being a basketball guy, I can't wait until next year (said every Wolves fan every year). Kevin Love will be healthy and hopefully happy, Brandon Roy will not, and we will add a couple of pieces in the draft and free-agency. #letsplay

I am a huge WNBA fan and with the draft this evening, I am looking forward to see how our squad shapes up. In a perfect world, my favorite team finds a way to sneak into the top three to nab Skylar Diggins whose game I absolutely love. Now that I awake from my "never going to happen" dream of having the best guard in the group balling with us, let's get focused and real. The most recent mock draft on wnba.com has us taking Lindsey Moore a guard out of Nebraska. I'd be good with the 5'10 Moore who is coming off a good NCAA Tournament. I also wouldn't mind Ta'Shauna "Sugar" Rodgers out of Georgetown. The Lynx have picks 12,14,24 and 36.
