Missing man with brain injury last seen at Lincoln Park rehab center found

CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) -

A man with a brain injury who went missing from a Lincoln Park rehabilitation center Thursday has been found safe and has been reunited with his family.

Thomas O'Neill, 23, walked out of Anixter Rehabilitation Center at 2032 N. Clybourn Ave. at 2:30 p.m., according to a missing person alert from Chicago Police.

O'Neill suffered a brain injury a year ago and is memory and speech impaired, police said. He usually appears expressionless and does not communicate well with strangers.

Police said on Friday morning that O'Neill had been located and was reunited with his family.
