You've seen stories on Fox 2 about relatives grieving after their loved ones become victims of senseless violence.

A new reports says homicide is the leading cause of death for young black men.  We take a closer look at what is being called "the new American tragedy."

Joining Charlie Langton and Taryn Asher on our panel to discuss are three people who are working hard everyday to change those statistics and improve the future for young black men.

K.C. Wilbourn is the principal at Mumford High School.  She recently made headlines for her success at improving security and lives at Detroit's Denby High.

Tyrone Winfrey is the chief of staff for the Education Achievement Authority, the state's newly formed committee dedicated to fixing failing public schools.  He is also active in mentoring young black men to stay out of trouble.

And Marquis Herring is a former Fox 2 intern, who is making great impressions as a mentor for Detroit.
