Minneapolis police caught two suspects who may have tossed a Molotov cocktail at a Midtown Greenway cyclist last week, but investigators say they may be too young to be charged with a crime, the Star Tribune reported.
Drew Ditlefsen told FOX 9 News last week that he was shaken for an hour after the homemade fire-bomb was dropped in his direction while he was riding his bicycle on the Midtown Greenway.
"I just heard a loud thud with a glass and just like a woosh," Ditlefsen recalled as he approached the 15th Avenue bridge.
Ditlefsen told FOX 9 News that something needs to be done to prevent this from happening to other bikers. He thinks five feet of fencing could be a simple solution.
Police spokesman Sgt. Steve McCarty told the Star Tribune that he wasn't aware of the kids' motive.
The Hennepin County Attorney's office is set to review the case.
