NEW JERSEY (MYFOXNY.COM) -

Investigators say the purse of a missing student from the College of New Jersey was found on the south walkway of the George Washington Bridge.

Paige Aiello's ID was found in the purse just before 8 p.m. Tuesday. The senior was last seen by her parents at 1 p.m.

The Port Authority says New York harbor police scanned the waters of the Hudson and did not find anything.

The Hillborough resident who commutes to school is also the captain of the women's tennis team.

The prosecutor's office says Aiello apparently took her mother's car without permission. The vehicle was found Tuesday evening in a New Brunswick parking garage, which is near a train station.

Hillsborough Police had asked the public for help finding the teen. They did not suspect foul play.

If you have seen Aiello, contact the Hillsborough Police at 908-369-4323.

Thursday is her 22nd birthday.
