Student pleads not guilty in party burns case

TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) - A 21-year-old Arizona State University student has pleaded not guilty to charges accusing him of causing serious burns to two young women attending a house party in Tempe.

Andrew Kent on Wednesday appeared in Maricopa County Superior Court where he faces two counts of aggravated assault.

Police say an 18-year-old student and a 17-year-old California girl visiting ASU received very serious burns when a liquor bottle exploded after being thrown into a bonfire.
