KINGMAN, Ariz. (AP) - Mohave County plans an in-house investigation into an administrative error in which applications for county workers weren't submitted to an insurer though they were paying for life insurance.
The Board of Supervisors decided Monday against hiring an outside investigator and instead voted to have a lawyer and an investigator for the County Attorney's Office conduct the inquiry.
The supervisors learned last month that employees paid premiums to Lincoln Financial Group but that paperwork wasn't submitted to have them covered with life insurance.
The employees involved can choose to either get coverage or premium refunds.
