Operation Wedding winners choose menu

ATLANTA -

Staff Sergeant Ancil Christopher and Tamika Russell will soon be married thanks to Good Day Atlanta's Operation Wedding. The venue is set, and the wedding dress has been selected. Now it's time to decide on the menu!

With the help of Ashton Garden's event coordinator, Mary White, the wedding plans are coming along quite nicely for Ancil and his fiance Tamika.

But there's probably not a detail more important than the food, and that's where Ashton Gardens' chef comes in. He gave them just a taste of what their guests could expect on April 25. He and his staff kept the sample hors d'oeuvres, salads, and entrees coming. On the menu: Gulf shrimp shooters, Caesar salad and three entrees to choose from: grilled salmon, steak or chicken!

With Ancil and Tamika's seal of approval, the dinner will be spectacular.

There is also dessert, and for the guests it will be cake. Celebrities, like Atlanta housewife Portia Stewart, love cakes made by Mark Lotti of Classic Cheesecakes and Cakes. Lotti will custom design a cake to include layers of his famous cheesecake, Ancil's favorite. Several flavors are available -- Oreo cookie, classic plain, turtle, key lime chocolate and vanilla bean. Which flavor the dessert will be is to be decided by Lotti.

The big day is only a few weeks away, and there's much more to get done! Next, Ancil and Tamika will shop for the rings, and Ancil is to be fitted for his tux!
