EASTPOINTE, Mich. (WJBK) -

Just before 4:00 p.m. on Monday, a 13-year-old girl was walking home from Kelly Middle School.  When she got to the Nine Mile and Kelly area in front of Papa John's, she told police a black male in his mid-20s grabbed her by the waist and threw her into his car.

Minutes later as the car was slowing down, she said she unlocked the door, jumped out of the vehicle and ran to a stranger's house looking for help.

"All of a sudden, I [turned] around, I [saw] this little girl.  She [came] up to me, and she asked me to use my phone.  So I gave her my phone, and as I gave her my phone, she's having trouble trying to dial," said Justin Vang.  "I asked her what's wrong, and once I asked her that, it was like just tears started coming down, and immediately I knew there was something wrong."

I spoke with employees inside the Papa John's, who said they were working on Monday afternoon, but nobody saw anything, and there are no surveillance cameras outside.

"She was crying, wasn't very responsive, didn't really say much," Vang explained.

The car is described as a gray four door with a black interior, possibly leather.

The girl told police that she did not get a good look at the face of the man that took her, so a composite sketch could not be made.

If you saw anything, call Eastpointe Police.
