Wild streaking and streak busting at the same time
In the Minnesota Wild's current six game win streak, they have busted some losing skids of their own. They defeated the Canucks in Vancouver for the first time in four years. But their most recent win, a 7-4 score fest in Dallas was a decade in the making.
March 8, 2002 was the last time the Wild won a regular season game in Dallas. After trailing 2-1 after the first period, Minnesota scored six goals over the course of the next two and Niklas Backstrom made 22 saves in the win.
Zach Parise scored two goals and Matt Cullen continued his white hot pace scoring a goal and adding an assist in the win. Cullen has points in nine of his last 11 games and has propelled the second line into a point producing machine.
The Wild return home Wednesday to face Phoenix before heading back to the Lone Star state to face Dallas again on Friday.
