Witnesses said Amanda Hall was hit by a car and killed Thursday night in Westland.
WESTLAND, Mich. (WJBK) -
A mother of four is dead after what was described to us as a fight over a man.
In Westland at Manistee and Grand Traverse, a group of people were gathering, and the meeting was not a pleasant one.
"A fight broke out," said Brandon Berthiuame, a friend of the victim.
"A bunch of those people were fighting and arguing," said witness Pat Niece.
The fight they referenced was an argument between two women, according to Westland Police. Witnesses said one of them was 26-year-old Amanda Hall, the other her ex-boyfriend's new girlfriend.
Investigators said this verbal altercation suddenly turned into a vicious and violent one involving a vehicle.
"She had chased her with a car and hit her, and she was dead as soon as she hit the ground," Berthiuame said.
"Running somebody over and killing them over a guy, not worth it at all," said Amber Rains, another friend of the victim.
Family and friends told us it was Hall that was struck by that car and killed. Police said the young woman she was having words with was behind-the-wheel. Rains told us three of Hall's children saw it happen.
"It happened so quick. It was a shock," said Niece.
Detectives said the suspect took off, leaving a mother of four small children dead. She was later arrested in Livingston County.
