Mankato police confirms missing teen's death; cites self-inflict - KMSP-TV

The Mankato police department confirmed the death of missing teen William Wild.

Officers responded to the report of a possible deceased male in Riverfront Park on Monday night. Responding officers found that the person, later identified as Wild. 

In a press release, police confirmed that the 16-year-old died as a result of a self-inflicted injury.

Wild was listed as a missing person Sunday night and police had been trying to locate him. No foul play is suspected in the case.
