SAVANNAH, Ga. (AP) - John and Elizabeth Calvert disappeared from their vacation home in Harbour Town, S.C. in 2008 and authorities in Beaufort County still want to know where they are.
Although police have exhausted all leads, they think the couple was killed and possibly dumped by their former accountant who had stolen money from them.
After confronting him, the Atlanta couple vanished. The accountant committed suicide, according to the Savannah Morning News.
The 47-year-old John Calvert managed the couple's businesses while the 45-year-old Elizabeth Calvert was a lawyer with a Savannah-based law firm.
Investigators believe that the couple is buried "off the beaten path" and that hunters or hikers may come upon their remains. They theorize that there may be an accomplice.
A $10,000 reward is offered for information in their disappearance.
