"It was snowing heavy, pretty heavy when we woke up and it was a
surprise," explained Rose. My husband looked out and said look what happened overnight and I said we definitely have to go sledding."
Every kid deserves to sled once a year and I didn't want to blow the opportunity," said Steve Zorowitz.
As a snowman stood watch at the park as deer frolicked through the snow
and kids took to their sleds down the hill at Laurel Acres Park.
"It was awesome," said Jacob.
"It was a little scary at first because I have a cast on so I got a little scared but it ended up being really fun," said 11-year-old Lauren De Vicaris.
Mount Laurel officials say road crews patrolled the township through the day but no salting or plowing was necessary. Police say there were only two minor weather related fender benders.
