Robert Minor of Coon Rapids was charged Tuesday with multiple counts including stalking a victim under 18, and while he had a software program with sharing capabilities, he was not charged with distribution of any pornographic work involving minors.
Minor was arrested Monday after a 12-year-old boy reported the man held a watch over a partition into the area where the boy was getting dressed at the Andover YMCA on Feb. 24.
Robert Minor has been arrested but is not yet formally charged. YMCA staff worked with law enforcement using video surveillance to identify Minor, who lives with his parents.
A search warrant executed on March 2 revealed a wrist watch that had digital video and still photo capability sitting near a computer. A second search warrant was issued for the data inside the computer that show Minor has numerous files of young boys at the Andover and Coon Rapids YMCA, and one unknown athletic facility.
The computer also had child pornography that was not believed to be produced by Minor.
The investigation is continuing.
The Anoka County District Court set bail for Minor at $500,000 without conditions, or $250,000 with conditions, including having no contact with children under the age of 18 and no contact with health club facilities.
