MAPLEWOOD, Minn. (KMSP) -
Ramsey County prosecutors have requested a 24-hour extension to file charges in the Maplewood murder of 16-year-old Anna Hurd.
Hurd's 17-year-old boyfriend, Anthony Mitchell, was arrested Friday in connection with the deadly stabbing.
Hurd's body was found in Hillside Park in the early morning hours of Feb. 23. Mitchell reportedly discovered her and called 911, but she was dead by the time emergency responders arrived. He told FOX 9 that Hurd left his nearby home on foot and never made it to a friend's house, so he went looking for her.
