MINNEAPOLIS (KMSP) -
Lowry Tunnel on I-94 has reopened after an overturned milk truck closed Interstate 94 in both directions near the Lowry Hill tunnel late Wednesday morning.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the westbound truck hit the median and overturned into the eastbound lanes of the tunnel around 10:55 a.m. At least three other eastbound vehicles were involved in the crash.
Lt. Eric Roeske said milk was spilling from the tanker, but no serious injuries were reported. The milk truck driver and one other person were taken to the hospital for treatment.
Westbound lanes reopened by 11:45 a.m., but were still moving slowly.
