A sleepy driver is in some hot water after crashing into an iron gate, bushes and a sign at the drive through window of an In-N-Out Burger restaurant.

Mesa police officers say Robert Gonzales was found asleep and slumped against the window of his car when they arrived at the scene near Stapley and University Drive at 2 a.m. on Saturday.

Authorities say Gonzales, a 25-year-old Gilbert resident, apparently failed to negotiate the drive-through area.

He was awakened by officers, with his car still in drive and running.

Gonzales was arrested on suspicion of marijuana and drug paraphernalia possession.
