ATLANTA -
Despite numerous complaints from commuters, the state is considering adding even more of the HOT lanes along Interstate 85.
The Georgia Department of Transportation wants to add 10 more miles of the express lanes on I-85, from Old Peachtree Road to Hamilton Mill Road. Officials say the expansion would include new construction and capacity, and won't take up any regular lanes.
The HOT lanes let Peach Pass customers pay for a faster ride, but some drivers say the lanes have made things worse for those who don't use them.
The expansion would cost around $93 million.
