
One person was killed in snowy spinout crash Friday morning on Highway 13 in Eagan, Minn.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a northbound driver lost control just south of Interstate 494 and spun sideways into oncoming traffic. The spinning car was broadsided by a southbound car, killing the driver.
From 5 a.m. to 9 a.m. statewide, the State Patrol reported 124 crashes, 23 involving injuries and the one fatal crash in Eagan. Troopers also responded to 119 spinouts.
Three inches of snow fell overnight Thursday into Friday morning, with five inches of snow expected in the Twin Cities by the end of the day.
