Operation Wedding gives back to a deserving military couple. Three finalists are competing for the wedding of their dreams, courtesy of FOX 5 and Ashton Gardens. The last finalist pair are Second Lieutenant Nicholas Reid and his fiance Xavia Tennant.

It's been a whirlwind courtship for the both of them, but it didn't take long to realize they were meant to be together.

"We clicked just like that," said Reid.

"A song will be playing in the car, and we'll start singing the same part at the same time," said Tennant.

Both Reid and Tennant serve in the United States Marine Corps. They met while on the Quantico Marine Corps Base in Virginia. At first, the relationship was strictly professional. Reid admits to being copy machine illiterate and often needed Tennant to rescue him.

"Every time he needed help making copies or something, he would come and find me," said Tennant

But it wasn't long before Reid took a liking to his colleague. He says he fell in love with the way Tennant carried herself. The two strangers who met in Virginia also discovered they both were from Georgia.

"When we found out we were from Georgia, that was it," said Reid.

Reid finally summoned the courage to ask Tennant out. He pulled a classic guy move by asking her to a scary movie.

"She really doesn't like scary movies all the much. So she was snuggled up under me the whole time. She didn't want to watch the scary parts," said Reid.

They've been in love ever since.

"We're like an unconventional romantic couple. Anything that's fun-loving and that's going to make the other one so surprised and get them out of their element, that's what we like to do," said Tennant.

That's exactly what Reid did when he proposed to Tennant. While looking on Tennant's iPad, he found a picture of an engagement ring she liked. And after months of research, he proposed with a real version of the ring.

"It was a complete surprise and it was in our true, little quirky fashion," said Tennant.

Because they both are committed to serving their country, planning a wedding has been difficult. But they're hoping their next marching orders will having them marching right down the aisle.

"We're extremely excited about spending the rest of our lives together and getting married. But to share with our families, and have that memory forever, I couldn't ask god for a better thing," said Tennant.

Starting Friday morning at 9 a.m., you can begin voting online. Voting will end next Friday at 9am.The couple with most votes will win a free, dream wedding at Ashton Gardens in Sugar Hill.
