MAPLE GROVE, Minn. (KMSP) -
A decade has passed since a Maple Grove mother was struck and killed in her community center's parking lot, and police are still asking for help solving the cold case.
Rebecca Nelson was hit and killed while taking her son to hockey on Feb. 20, 2003. Though there have been leads in the case, police say nothing has panned out so far.
"There's people who know, there's people who have heard, there's people who know what happened," said Det. Tanya Petz. "We need the community's help -- the public's help -- to figure out who those people are."
No witnesses came forward at the time and there were no surveillance cameras on the building.
Anyone with information is urged to call Maple Grove Police. A reward is being offered.
