Delta weather waiver for projected Minneapolis snow

Posted: Updated:
MINNEAPOLIS (KMSP) -

Delta Air Lines is offering passengers affected by approaching winter weather in the Midwest and Rocky Mountain regions the ability to make one-time changes to their scheduled travel plans without fees.

Travelers booked at Salt Lake City and Denver airports for Feb. 20-21 travel and at Minneapolis and other Midwest airports for Feb. 21-22 travel can rebook before or after the original travel dates, as long as the origin and destination cities remain the same.

A winter storm watch is in effect for Minneapolis-St. Paul and areas south into Iowa from Thursday night into Friday as a deep snowstorm tracks into the Upper Midwest out of the Great Plains.

At this point the greater Twin Cities metro is expected to see 3 to 6 inches of snow, with higher totals near 12 inches in southwestern Minnesota.
