Brooklyn Rabbi busted in sex sting

Posted: Updated:
NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -

A Brooklyn Rabbi has reportedly been arrested in a sting operation after authorities claim he propositioned what he thought was a young girl online.

Rabbi Nathan David Rabinowich faces attempted rape and other charges in the incident.

Rabinowich was released Thursday night after making $25,000 bail.

A clergy abuse victim advocacy group called SNAP says it hopes that any families who are members of Rabbi Rabinowich's synagogue will ask their friends and fellow churchgoers if they ever saw, suspected, or suffered crimes at this rabbi's hands.

The group claims that it is rare for a child predator to only strike.
