Controversial billboards in Chicago, gay marriage in Illinois: Chat Room

Posted: Updated:
CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

On Thursday's Chat Room, Sun-Times Splash Editor Susanna Negovan and lifestyle consultant Rochelle Trotter discuss the controversial ad campaign for and Chicago's pending vote for legalizing gay marriage.

The billboard is located at Clark and Ontario - directly across from a very child-friendly McDonalds - and it features porn star Bree Olsen and a very explicit quote about a sexual act.

Susanna thinks its disgusting, and yet it speaks to an even sadder issue which is Chicago is the No. 1 market for this service. It helps people find, quote "mutually beneficial relationships."

Rochelle agreed stating that just because they are within their first amendment rights it does not make this acceptable. The tragedy is that so much publicity has been given to this campaign their awareness and enrollment is higher now than ever. So this is actually working FOR THEM!

The Illinois Senate was set to vote on legalizing gay marriage in the city Thursday. Susanna thinks its a great idea. Rochelle thinks its a natural progression since civil unions have already been approved here.
