You've probably heard of "Dancing with the Stars," and FOX 9's own Heidi Collins is taking part in a similar competition in the metro next Friday, Feb. 22.

Collins has been asked to compete in the fourth annual "Dancing for the Cause," and has been rehearsing with Arthur Murray Dance Studios.

Watch the video for a sneak peek.

Twin Cities celebrities spend months practicing before the competition kicks off at the Marriott City Center.

Collins and her professional partner, Alex, are dancing to benefit the non-profit "Tee It Up for the Troops."

A panel of judges will choose one winner, and a second winner will be chosen by how many ballots were cast for the dancer that evening. Each ballot costs $5.
