Edible skin smoother by Elina Fedotova: Chocolate Champagne Oil

Do you think chocolate, strawberries and champagne can make your skin softer and radiant? Cosmetic chemist Elina Fedotova created a line of skin care that may be good enough to eat.

Chocolate Champagne Oil

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1/4 large bar of dark chocolate
  • 8 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tsp champagne or sparkling wine
  • Optional: A few drops of rose or lavender essential oils

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Melt the chocolate in a double boiler.
  2. Gently blend the sunflower oil and champagne into the chocolate.
  3. Apply and massage onto dry skin areas.

The antioxidants in the chocolate help renew the skin; the alpha hydroxy acids from the champagne have an exfoliating effect, while the sunflower oil works as a moisturizer.
