The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning in the metro and blizzard warnings in the western part of the state, and MnDOT officials confirm driving conditions in the area are perilous.
Shakopee Mayor Brad Tabke also announced that the city's Winter Fest has been canceled due to weather conditions.
