Eagles Finally Release Coaching Staff

Posted: Updated:
PHILADELPHIA -

The Eagles were adamant not to make an official announcement on the coming season's coaching staff until all coaches were hired, but fans can now rest easy knowing the roster is final.

The Philadelphia Eagles announced Friday that all coaching positions have been filled. Head coach Chip Kelly will discuss his staff at a press conference Monday at 1:30 p.m. at the NovaCare Complex.

Billy Davis will come full circle in his career by filling in as Kelly's defensive coordinator. Davis was a water boy for the Eagles when his father was a coach, but he comes most recently from coaching Cleveland Browns' linebackers.

Davis was previously a defensive coordinator with San Francisco and Arizona, each for two years. The Eagles will be Davis' ninth NFL team.

Rounding out the top of the list, Pat Shurmur will return to Philly as the offensive coordinator after a season as the Browns' head coach, and Dave Fipp will come up from Miami as the special teams coordinator.
