Months ago, a local judge said there was no shame to his game after he was caught in a sexting scandal. Fox 2's Charlie LeDuff now has an explosive new investigation that could mean the end of Judge Wade McCree's career.
DETROIT (WJBK) -
The Michigan Supreme Court has suspended Wayne Co. Circuit Judge Wade McCree without pay effective immediately.
The court order issued Friday comes after FOX 2's Charlie LeDuff reported the censured judge was still being paid $12,000 month, despite being under investigation after LeDuff exposed McCree's relationship with a woman whose child-support case was pending in his court.
The order says McCree's pay will be held in escrow until disciplinary proceedings are resolved.
The court says the file is sealed and will remain confidential until further order.
The high court reprimanded McCree for misconduct in October after he sent a nude photo of himself to a female court employee. That story was also exposed by LeDuff. McCree has since apologized.
So far, McCree has offered no comment on his suspension.

On order of the Court, the motions for immediate consideration are GRANTED. The petition for interim suspension is considered, and it is GRANTED. The respondent Wayne Circuit Judge Wade H. McCree is suspended without pay, effective immediately, until further order of this Court. The respondent's salary will be held in escrow pending the final resolution of these disciplinary proceedings. The motion to seal the Supreme Court file is also considered, and it is GRANTED, in order to preserve the confidentiality required by MCR 9.219(A)(2) and MCR 9.221(A). With the exception of this order, the Supreme Court file is suppressed and shall remain confidential until further order of this Court.
