Nor'Easter To Impact Local Amtrak & Airline Schedules

How will this nasty nor'easter impact travel on the rails and in the skies?

Airlines at the Philadelphia International Airport are set to run on schedule this morning, but officials say they do expect that to change later on today. In fact, their website has a 'Winter Weather Advisory' posted for all customers to read. Click here to visit the airport's website and check your flight.
More than a dozen airlines are waiving flight change costs in anticipation of the storm. Southwest, United and U.S. Airways are among the carriers that have waived certain change fees.
All travelers are urged to contact their airlines DIRECTLY to check on the status of their flight.
RAILS
The approaching winter storm will heavily impact Amtrak operations in New York and New England throughout the day.
Amtrak is reducing service on its Acela Express and Northeast Regional Routes between New York and Boston.
Southbound service out of Boston and Northbound service out of Penn Station will stop later today.
Northeast corridor service south of New York, as well as Empire and Keystone Services are not affected.
Passengers who have paid, but choose not to travel, will be refunded.

Rain moved in Saturday afternoon and the chance for it will stick around through the seven day forecast.
It becomes very unsettled across our area with clounds and showers again Sunday. The best chance for rain is in the morning and afternoon thunderstorms are possible towards our south.
Sunday is cool but we do warm up well into the 80s by Tuesday. With the warm weather comes a better chance for thunderstorms.
