The Pennsylvania PSPCA is offering a $2,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the person(s) responsible for the death of multiple dogs found stuffed in garbage bags in South Philadelphia.
The remains of six male adult pitbull dogs were found in several trash bags on the railroad tracks near 26th Street and Washington Avenue by PSPCA Humane Officers late last week.
The animals appeared to have been killed with the last 24 hours of being discovered. The dogs all had extensive injuries and wounds.
"Until we have more details, we don't want to speculate on the cause of the death," said Bengal. "But we do know that these animals did not die of natural causes. We urge anyone with information about how these dogs died or who placed them in that area to contact us."
Anyone with information in this case should call the Pennsylvania SPCA's Anti-Cruelty hotline at 1-866-601-SPCA.
