Soroptimist International of the Twin Cities is holding its 1 annual Benefit Breakfast on Saturday, March 9, 2013 to raise funds for the expansion of educational awards and programming that will serve the needs of area women and girls. The Benefit Breakfast is being held at the American Lung Association of Minnesota offices in St. Paul, Minnesota.
The benefit breakfast program, with the theme "Dare to Dream" features speakers Sharon Sayles-Belton (former mayor of Minneapolis), Kelsey Soby of Fox 9 News, past recipients of Soroptimist educational awards, and Mama Mosaic Theatre for Women performing an inspiring musical and performance piece, The Silenced!, commissioned as part of the "Minnesota Girls Are Not For Sale" initiative.
Admission is free and a continental breakfast will be provided. Registration begins at 9:00am and the program will start promptly at 9:30am.
Soroptimist International of the Twin Cities is a volunteer organization for business and professional women in the twin cities area; working to improve the lives of women and girls through awareness, advocacy and action. Soroptimist International of the Twin Cities members join with nearly 100,000 Soroptimists in about 120 countries and territories to contribute time and financial support to community-based projects benefiting women.
