Texas Governor To CA Businesses: Come To Texas

Posted: Updated:

Los Angeles -- Texas Governor Rick Perry continues his campaign to target California businesses to relocate and grow in the Lone Star State.

In a new radio ad, Perry tells California companies that Texas is wide open for business.

Governor Brown responded Tuesday by saying that his radio spot is a non-story, even going so far as to say it's not a "burp" and "it's barely a fart."

The 30-second ad is running on a half dozen California stations. In it, Perry touts low taxes, sensible regulations and a fair legal system as reasons to move a business to Texas.

Now, Texas isn't without its issues. Critics say its low tax climate has not been kind to schools, roads, and the state's health care system.
