Volunteers loaded a 40 foot cargo container with medical supplies and equipment that's headed to Nigeria.
In addition to basic supplies such as gauze, syringes, surgical gowns and masks, Tuesday's shipment will include hospital beds, exam tables, IV poles, office furniture and surgical instruments.

Project C.U.R.E.'s Melissa Gable says their Tempe distribution center collects excess supplies and equipment from Valley hospitals and medical manufacturers, allowing them to repurpose their items in an environmentally friendly way.
