Moss ripped for effort in 49ers loss

Earlier in the week, Randy Moss stated he was the best receiver ever to play in the NFL. Moss put up a listless performance in the Super Bowl and fell to 0-2 in the NFL's biggest games. Former 49ers and Denver linebacker Bill Romanowski called Moss out after Moss failed to attempt to go for a ball that resulted in a Colin Caepernick interception.

Romanowski: "What happened is Randy Moss alligator armed it, he didn't go up for the ball! He said he was the best receiver in the DAMN world -- ok, you hear me? Oh, God! That's what pisses me off! You're playing in the Super Bowl, guys!"

Dwight Clark: "He didn't alligator-arm it. He didn't even reach out for it!"

Romanowski: "One thing you just can not have in a Super Bowl is lack of effort."
