B-B-E and Melrose face off in a battle of number one teams

Whathappens when the number 1 team in class A gets together with the number 1 teamin class AA? A magical January night in Melrose that saw over 2,000 fans craminto the gym to watch two of the state's top teams battle.  The game wasn't really all that close as theDutchmen thanks to Scottie Stone's 44 points that included 10 three-pointers.The home team ended up with an 87-56 victory.

The Dutchmen led 37-30 at half and then watched as Stone buried 8three-pointers in the second half alone as Melrose outscored B-B-E 50-26 in thesecond half and ended the Jaguars win streak at 50 consecutive games. It wasthe first time the Jaguars lost in a regular season game since February 4,2010.
