CTA considering public-private partnership for expansion

CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -
An expansion of the CTA Red Line may end up being a public-private partnership. Goldman Sachs has been hired by the transit authority to explore the possibility.
A public-private partnership means private contractors would be hired to design, build and bankroll the project, but the CTA would still operate the completed product.
The expansion to 130th Street would likely cost around $1.5 billion, but the CTA hasn't figured out to pay for it.
