Meeting held to address coyote concerns

Posted: Updated:
DECATUR, Ga. -

Residents in the Druid Hills neighborhood and Decatur came together on Tuesday to learn more about how to deal with a growing coyote population.

The Druid Hills Civic Association sponsored the meeting, which featured a longtime coyote trapper, a Berry College biologist and a coyote consultant from San Francisco who specializes in human-animal conflict resolution.

Coyotes have been an issue in the North Druid Hills-Briarcliff Road area for years.

Most experts agree there isn't an easy solution, but advise residents to keep their pets indoors at night.
