Take a 'Vine' tour of Fox 5

Posted: Updated:
NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -

Even inside the Fox 5 newsroom most media-savvy producers and editors had never heard of Vine -- until now. But before you know it, using Vine might be as routine as reaching for your pot of coffee in the morning.

Chris Dessi of Silverback Social explains that Vine is an app that Twitter bought even before it launched in 2012. It gives you 6 seconds to create a video and it gives you the opportunity to be really creative because it will start videotaping as you touch the screen, making it super easy to create quick videos.

All you need is your iPad or iPhone. Just touch your screen and go.

Oh, wait -- it helps to have producers and bosses who hate to be in front of the camera.

We took a quick walk through our building snapping snippets of video. And just like that we have a six-second Fox 5 tour for you, Vine style.

Vine super simplifies these complex editing machines so anyone can make a quick, compelling video.
